My days do not follow a set pattern.
Some days I am in an operating theatre measuring aerosols during medical procedures. Other days I use a computer and a number of software packages to analyse the results, write reports and scientific papers.
Other days i will be working as an anaesthetist putting patients to sleep so they can have an operation or looking after patients in an intensive care unit.
I have been in the rapid response ambulance cars to collect data for patients who have had a heart attack outside of hospital and have presented my findings at local, national and international conferences.
