• Question: can animals catch covid 19

      Yes they can but they usually don’t get very sick from it.
      We know that cats (house cats as well as large ones such as tigers) can get it, as well as chimpanzees and other apes.
      The virus also most likely came from animals in the first place.. we don’t know for sure which ones yet but most likely bats, minks or pangolins as they often transmit viruses to humans

      Other animals that we know can get the virus include deer, mink, dogs, ferrets, pigs, rabbits & hamsters.
