  I’ve been very fortunate that I haven’t had to deal with any discrimination for this – I do think universities tend to be particularly progressive and open, but I also found that more and more people are openly LGBTQ+ elsewhere too, and I think society’s improving overall in that respect. In one of the vet practices I’ve worked in, there was a while when nearly half the employees were LGBTQ+!
