      Hi Jack!

      I think COVID-19 will become like the flu, at least for a few years until medicine has improved enough that we can completely eradicate it. Maybe the virus will mutate so many times that the ‘best version’ of itself (aka the most dangerous) will have already happened, so we won’t be exposed to any more dangerous versions in the future.

      I do keep COVID-19 samples in our freezer here at RCSI. I have a picture on my profile if you’re interested. We keep these samples at -80 C in vials called eppendorfs.
