      Hi,
Honestly, I do my job partly because I find doing experiments really fun, partly because I get paid and partly because I hope that what I do will have an impact (maybe already has!) on people’s lives.

It’s for a mix of reasons; it’s fun (sometimes), I do eventually help people, it pays OK, I’m (or my experiments are) in charge of my own time, my work has real world impact…But ultimately to help people is my main reason for doing it.

      Hi!
It’s definitely fun.. when something works ;). To me the helping people and curing disease aspect was the deciding factor when I decided to study science but now I also really love the mystery and ‘solving the riddle’… you are the first person to discover something… maybe a small change that the virus makes to a cell which has a big effect and this change has been around maybe as long as the virus… and YOU are the one to find it! That’s really cool!
